Wallace
Woods Good Neighbor Scholarship
Since 1999, the
neighbors of Wallace Woods, in Covington, KY, have underwritten an annual $500
scholarship to be used for the education of a young Covington resident. The Wallace Woods
Neighborhood Association Good Neighbor Scholarship is an award based on
volunteer community service.
To be eligible
for the Good Neighbor Scholarship:
1. The student
must be a resident of Covington, KY.
2. The student
may be no older than 24 years of age as of March 31st.
3. The student
must have performed voluntary community service.
4. The student
must be enrolled in or planning to enroll in an accredited two- to four-year
post-secondary educational institution for the 2010-2011 school year.
Vocational and
Technical programs are included.
One winner will
be selected from qualified applicants, and the scholarship money will be sent to
the accredited educational institution of the winner's choice.
Applications are
available from the City of Covington’s website, www.covingtonky.com
Completed applications and
recommendation forms must be received by WWNA by Friday, April 3, 2010.
If the
scholarship award is not used by March 31, 2011, it will be forfeited.
Applications from students who do
not meet eligibility criteria will be disqualified.
