Wallace Woods Neighborhood Association Monthly Meetings

First Monday of the month, 7 pm
Special presentation on relevant topics for the neighborhood, review and planning of upcoming events. Neighbors volunteer their homes for monthly meetings. We post the latest meeting on the website home page and send emails out through the group email list.

Ladies Bunco

Second Tuesday of every month. Location rotates among participants. Easy dice game and lots of socializing with great neighbors. $5 to play and please bring a snack and beverage item to share. If interested, please contact Tanya Leach email

Progressive Dinner

Annual Progressive Dinner Saturday, February 23th, 2019   This event is our biggest of the year and has been going on for decades.  The themed evening starts with cocktails & appetizers at one home, then moving to smaller groups at individual homes for dinner; gathering again in the late evening for dessert and dancing. Please note that you have to be a member of the Wallace Woods Neighborhood Association to attend.

Easter Egg Hunt - This event for the neighborhood kids is held on the Saturday prior to Easter. The date will be announced.

Good Neighborhood Education Scholarship $500 - Previous winners include Anna Marksberry (2017),  Zachary Trenkamp (2015), and Patrick Haney (2014). To apply Download application for 2019.

Plant Exchange - Many of our home owners have been gardeners for years and have beautiful gardens.  The plant exchange is held with perennials and other plants. Many of the perennials have been divided year after year and moved all over the neighborhood. Date to be announced.

Neighborhood Yard Sale - First Saturday in June. Set-up to sell or walk around and shop, and visit with neighbors. More than 50 homes participate in the yard sales. $5 to participate. This event has a big following of yard sale buyers from all over the region.

4th of July Parade - Starts at 10 am Prizes for best decorated bike, float and costume. Starts at the Oakland Turnaround Park



Corn Roast & Stump Speech - September 20, 2015 4-7pm
Location: Oakland Turn Around Park, south end of Oakland Ave.  Pot luck dinner with local candidates giving a brief speech. This year we celebrated Covington's Bicentennial. Elected officers for the WWNA Board.  If interested in running for a board position please contact the current president.

Neighborhood Christmas Caroling - The Sunday evening starts with caroling around the neighborhood and ends with potluck soup & dessert.

Light-Up Wallace Woods – Luminaries are set out in the neighborhood. The same evening as the caroling.
